It has been my long-cherished dream to contribute to my motherland’s social development and I have considered nursing to be a noble profession to pursue. In fact, nurses being called ‘sister’ actually capture their nurturing and caring compassion irrespective of their patient’s sex, creed, caste, or color. To fulfill my vision of India’s future as a nation that embodies the spirit of caring and sharing, an institute would be the beginning of redemption.
An institute to train these care-givers will go a long way in promoting this profession and improving the fast-emerging health sector. The youth of our nation must be guided and encouraged to seek careers in these areas that uphold the respect for every human being, and a generation steeped in this ethos will hold the beacon for the future of mankind.
